Mike, The big show in Kenosha only happens every few years (the city puts it on and it's a great time). There is an AMO chapter in that area that puts on shows every year. Both AMO (http://www.amonational.com) and AMCRC (http://www.amcrc.com) put on a big national show every year plus there are also regional shows for the chapter clubs. Matt On 10/4/2008 12:42 PM, mask1966@xxxxxxx spouted this sage advice: > Fellow AMC lovers, > ? I just joined the list and thought I'd introduce myself.? I am Mike Klepp, I'm retired and live in East-Central Illinois.? I have had old cars and trucks for many years and just acquired an nice original '62 Rambler Classic Custom with 42K miles.? Original paint, upholstery, drive train, etc.? The 6-cylinder runs great and with 3-speed OD, should get pretty good mileage.? Its not perfect, but it is original.? Little to no rust makes this old Rambler a keeper.? > ? I am not new to the AMC cars, I had a '52 Rambler hardtop (like the Lois Lane car) in HS and bought a new '68 Rambler American 220.? Both were great cars.? I knew someday I would have another but had to wait until I could make room for it.? > ?? I was pleased to find this list and hope to learn much from the longtime AMC owners here.? I plan to keep my car original and not change anything that does not need changing.? > ?? I know there is an AMC reunion in Kenosha every year, but would like to know of any others in the Mid-west.? When is the Kenosha thing?? I have relatives in that area. > > > Mike K > '53 Ford Customline > '62 Rambler Classic Custom > '65 Chevy C-10 Pickup > > -------------- next part -------------- > An HTML attachment was scrubbed... > URL: http://splatter.wps.com/pipermail/amc-list/attachments/20081004/2f79bd68/attachment.htm > _______________________________________________ > Amc-list mailing list > Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx > http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list > > > -- mhaas@xxxxxxx Cincinnati, OH http://www.mattsoldcars.com 1967 Rambler American wagon 1968 Rambler American sedan ================================================================= According to a February 2003 survey of Internet holdouts released by UCLA's Center for Communication Policy, people cite not having a computer as the No. 1 reason they won't go online. _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
