I wanted to find out if the AMC1 tank that's advertised for the Eagle wagons would fit for sure. I can get one at a discount through work, but if it doesn't fit, that would $uck! I can't believe I threw away all those spare Eagle tanks when I moved, but I do have several XJ, MJ and one ZJ tank to try to fit (I know the FSJ tanks are wrong)

That's definitely good to hear. Wish I'd kept the tank from the '77 AMX I had awhile longer though! (I was going to use it to dual tank my '87 MJ for extra long trips before gas jumped up)

For my 4.0L 79 AMX, I actually used an XJ Cherokee fuel tank. The only
thing I had to do was relocate the fuel filler to the center rear.
Otherwise, it's the exact same shape and size, and if you're swapping to
fuel injection, you can still use the stock XJ fuel pump.
