Okay, got an issue. I turned the key last night, got headlights, got dash lights, alternator light went on, no starter. I figured the battery was dead. I tried again before removing the battery - and no lights, no dash lights - absolutely nothing! I left the battery in the car, removed the battery cables and hooked up a charger for a few hours. Reconnected the battery cables, and absolutely nothing. Completely dead. I tried it again this morning. The lights came on and the engine cranked for half a second, then nothing. I pulled the battery and brought it in for testing. Tests all looked good. I put it on a charger set at mid-level (6 AMPS) and let it charge for several hours. I put it back in the car again, and am getting absolutely nothing. No headlights, no dashboard lights, no horn, engine won't crank. Nothing. I put a tester light on the battery, and the light lit right up - the battery has juice. I noticed that the resistor looked cracked. The connectors are a bit bent. Would that cause this problem? Is that first in line between the battery and all other electrical components? Should I look at the regulator? Where should I start in doing PD? The wiring looks okay (not great, but no worse than when it ran). _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
