Anyone interested in how a turbo six with a blow-thru setup drives
should contact Clarence Milstead (cmilstead@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx). I think
he's in Arizona? Anyway, he has a 1971 258 with turbo setup for sale
(unless he's sold it already). His problem was the BW trans (an M-35 or
36) was starting to slip from age and he was concerned about it
slipping. Didn't want to build another engine (I recommended he build a
72+ 258 short block and transfer the turbo to it), and he wanted even
more power. I don't think he was running but 5-6 psi due to concerns
about the little air cooled BW trans, even in a Gremlin. Since he had to
change everything he went with a V-8 conversion instead. Like I said,
last time I talked to him he was considering selling it. If you have an
iron BW trans sitting around (or an M-40 from a 290/304) it should bolt
up to the M-35 bell.

I wonder how it performs. Blow through carb huh.
I wish he said how it drives.
