They did a lot of crappy seam work on the Eagles and late Concord sedans. Take the Vinyl away and it shows! I don't think they told the seam guys the difference between cars! I've worked on and driven dukes and they do power the car decently. Most of the issues are with strangeties, no typo. The increased both throttle pedal effort and clutch pedal effort. I can only imagine they did this to make one push harder so you did not floor it and notice the lower power level of the 4cyl. Silly idea actually. That distributer is indeed a bear to get to though! Old carb, new carb, makes no difference to me.
