89 ii internal and an AX15 unless it's a changeover model from close the year change. AX15 went external slave in 94 and IIRC you can convert with a bellhousing and a few odds and ends. Worth doing if it's a lifelong keeper. May not be worth doing in the rustbelt on a darn near 20 year old vehicle depending on how the salt has been treating it! -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrac II " I realize that death is inevitable. The '89 has some rust issues - but the engine is incredible & the trans has no issues so I'll collect the external slave '94 Bellhousing & external slave cyl. & whatever other parts necessary. Then it all goes to the local High School Auto Shop for the install & a new clutch disc.
