I just posted the following on one of the AMC Forums ( www.amccars.net). The other Forum (www.theamcforum.com) has a special area set up under "The Lounge" just for the Charity AMC (it's called "Charity Projects", but the AMX is the only one there). The current on-site coordinator is Tom Benvie. He and his crew will be using the special area as a communication device for the finishing stages of the project, so things get posted there first. I'll try to keep up with it all and cross post here to the AMC-List (where it all started!!) and the amccars.net forum. -------------------------------------- Everyone will be pleased to note that Richard Corsello picked the AMX and parts up at John Widiker's shop last Thursday, and delivered it to the Greenmead AMC show (put on by the Great Lakes Classic AMC Club -- 115 cars and over a dozen vendors!). From there Joe Roberts picked it up and now has it with him. It will be going to the Chilson's show in Lawrenceville, PA, on August 30th. After that show it will be transported to the Boston area (I'm pretty certain it's going to Tom Benvie's home/shop). There's a lot to be done, but mostly get it sprayed then the interior and other finish work. I would say all the hard work has been done, but we all know the little detail stuff is often the hardest! Joe has started to go through parts to see if there's anything major missing and that he can add. I'm sure he'll post anything that's obviously needed, but some things may go unnoticed until the last minute. I'll try to keep up with the parts requests and make sure they get posted here. Remember, this is an AMC community project! Contribute as you can, but please help us get this thing wrapped up! -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
