"all original" isn't good, when it comes to drivetrain, wheels and
tires... :-)
Grab the driveshaft and shake it, bad U joints?
But if I had to guess without seeing, bent wheels, bad tires, bad
shocks, ...
See if it varies when you: cruise flat and level; push the clutch to the
floor; decellerate, accellerate. If it changes with those it could be
driveline junk. Else wheels.
I'm sure others have better ideas.
There's been quite a flurry of early American activity here these last
few months! They have their chronic bad spots, front suspension being
one of them, but once gone through, they're quite reliable, and a blast
to drive, in spite of the lack of power. There's a real synergy between
it's well-chosen components.
