Are you sure that is not 115,000 and 117,000?

Being the cheap ass that I am I would start out offering him $450 cash for the pair.....If he whines give him a couple days and if he still wont go that low then offer him $500. Again, if he whines give him a few days to think it over and if he still wont budge then I'd tell him I would go no more than $550 cash for the pair. 

I have never had anyone totally refuse my offer. I just go to them with a number in mind of what I will pay and offer them something lower.....sometimes they will accept the low offer but usually they will give a counter offer, which is usually the number I am willing to pay. 

A couple examples:

1984 AMC Eagle Limited. Asking $400, I was willing to pay $400 but offered $300. I paid $350.

1992 Dodge Grand Caravan. Asking $250, I was willing to pay $200 but offered $150. I paid $175. 

1992 Dodge Grand Caravan (wrecked, parts). Asking $150. I was willing to pay $100. Offered $75, paid $85. 

If you have a use for them or think they are good enough to sell parts from, then yes I'd definitely get both.
