That plus run real coolant, and don't let it get nasty. That's not from 
experience with that motor, but I read that many times about early 
aluminum motors (people treated them like old iron engines), and 
certainly, electrochemical corrosion would be bad in that motor.

NOPE! Won't fit! But I am convinced -- short of actually doing it -- 
that the non-filter pump can be drilled and tapped for a "remote" filter 
kit and fit in the car.

If I had an oil pump I'd make the change ASAP.

They are the same as the 199/232/258 lifters! Where'd I hear that?
