Gee, that sounds so easy..
I've also seen a really cool project board kit.
It entails a pressure sensor mounted in front of the rad.
When you get to a certain wind speed it dissarms the fan circuit as it is no longer needed!
Being as I'm pretty much at a loss when it comes to electronics I never investigated to see how well or long it would work.
   I like the idea though.
Keep in mind if you want a mounting point for a senor the 4.0L's from 91 up have a bung in the tstat housing.
Only drawback is the neck is kind of restrictive and points the hose back slightly.
   They are pretty easy to port and polish up for better flow.
I once ported one an dpolished it all nice and clean, then figured out I had done the wrong one!
I picked up the one without the sensor bung in it! Duh....
