One more related question, it appears that AMC used the same cam for ALL engines, regardless of compression ratio and CID size, is this the general case (I've see a 'few' exceptions noted for later 401s).  Thanks.

The TSM isn't specific about it, I gave all the specs that were there,  
but I have no doubt that it's advertised.
