My dad (God Bless him) used to joke about my mom like that, as she never had 
a driver's license and never leanred to drive and when she would get behind 
the wheel of one of our Ramblers, or Ambassador on Sunday morning to 
'practice' down Antelope Street, dad used to say 'hide the kids, mom thinks 
"R" is for RACE!!!"
