tsk, tsk, that's why I said "Get a 2000 up 4.0l HEAD an cast manifolds". I have done a hand son comparison and believe if done carefully you could fit the dual mans to an earlier 4.0L head. You would have about an 1/8" or so of sealing surface left. Touchy, but should work with a good copper gasket or such. -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrc II " Chronic Pain Hurts" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: adh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (Sandwich Maker) > " From: Wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx > " > " Get a 2000 up 4.0l head an cast exhaust manifolds. > > nb. these are split 3+3 but will not properly fit any other head. the > studs are afaik in the same place but 4.0 ports are shaped differently > and the center two are moved slightly from 199/232/258 heads. in > addition, on the '00-up #0331 head the ports are reduced in size to > increase exhaust velocity. > ________________________________________________________________________ > Andrew Hay the genius nature > internet rambler is to see what all have seen > adh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and think what none thought > _______________________________________________ > Amc-list mailing list > Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx > http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
