Its a long story but.....
I inherited a 6 cylinder, 3 speed manual 1963 Rambler Cross Country Wagon. Nice, clean driver. My friends used it and thrashed the trans. I found an automatic in a coupe and bought the whole car for the trans. My son is 16 and I thought it would be better for him with an auto. Turns out the auto is toast. Damn, this is getting nuts but now I have a spare motor. Tried to find either another auto or a 3 speed for months. Finally found the 3 speed w/ od and bought it for $400.00. Brought it home to find it does not have the adaptor. Now after listening to you guys chatting, it sounds like I don't want the od anyways. So, I have a 3 speed od for sale or trade for a 3 speed manual. I am calling a junk yard in Chicago tomorrow who supposedly has a Rambler there. I hope it is there and is a 3 speed.
