I posted this issue to the List a few months back. There's a problem with the newer Gates and Goodyear hoses for this application. The leg going to the T-stat housing is cut too short. I spoke with a Gates rep about this, and they are "looking into it" -- I'm not holding my breath. I did get one that does work from Advance Auto (partsamerica). Was their "Drive-Rite" house-brand hose B71384 -- made by Dayco I think. I bought a couple spares while I was at it.
