That would be cool to see! My son has been doing the Solo II stuff for a few years out at Turner Field (they use the parking lot). When games are scheduled, they can't use Turner Field, so yesterday it was at Road Atlanta south of town. We snuck up to watch Nascar racers lapping the track - must have been a test and tune day or something. I've never gone to a Nascar race - I lost interest in the mid 70's. Anyway - if you hear of him running and find out where - I might take a run out to see him. My son has to make all the scheduled races left in order to pick up 4th and a trophy, so we'll be doing the Road Atlanta and Turner Field parking lots for now. But if Ed is in a race on a different day than Kevin, I'd love to check it out. I'm thinking a stripped 6 cylinder Spirit with a 5 speed and disk brakes would be pretty cool! He was getting pretty competitive! It's fun if you can at least run in the middle of the pack. When he started he was at the end, but with some help from me and a couple other AMCers he got pretty competitive and was running in the top half instead of bottom quarter, and even won a couple class victories. My help was mainly in advice on driving the car -- using the six's better low end torque coming out of the turns instead of winding it up tight like a four or small V-6. > _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
