Both PPG and Pilkington (L-O-F) have classic/antique auto glass operations. PPG, in particular, claims to have a large inventory of glass for "all makes, all models" in this flyer: <http://corporateportal.ppg.com/NR/rdonlyres/9899A552-F818-4F97-A4BD-0AF41485D8B7/0/PPG_Auto_Glass_Vintage_Glass_panel.pdf> My guess is that document is intended for the auto glass trade, so do as Mark suggested and check with your local auto glass dealer first. If they have trouble, point them to the PPG vintage group. --Glen At 09:18 AM 6/19/2008, Mark Price wrote: >I agree, one of my biggest regrets is going with the used windshield >in my American. >It looked good and I was broke so I put it in, but it is hazy from >years of wetaher and wipers. >I'd change it out, but I've got it sealed and it does not leak at >all so I hate to mess with a good thing. > Get new glass if it's available! >It's worth it. > L.O.F used to have most windshields available. >CHECK with regular auto glass places first as their prices are >usually lower then the specialty shops and it is often the SAME windshield! > >-- >Mark Price >Morgantown, WV >1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 >2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrc II >" Chronic Pain Hurts" > > -------------- Original message ---------------------- >From: Joe Fulton <piper_pa20@xxxxxxxxxxx> > > Ross, > > > > I'd advise them to order a windshield through an > > antique glass place or ship Ebay.
