Hi, Jim:

It's been many years since we've talked, but I'm the past president of the
Rambler Club chapter here. I have a quandary that you may be able to
help with.

I'm helping a car buddy, Dave Gunderson, who is under fire by 
Pima County because of his car collection on his 1.5 acre property out 
in the boondocks.

They are forcing him to divest himself of cars or face the seizure of his 
cars and, potentially, his property - that's the latest threat.

As a result, Dave is going to sell his 3 Nashes if possible. 
He has;
2 - '50 Nash Statesman 2-door fastbacks and 
one '48 Ambassador Super 4-door fastback (Slipstream?) with 
overdrive. 
Most are relatively rust-free, with the driver's side floor in the Ambo 
being an exception. None of these has run in a while, and none will
drive home. One of the Statesmen has a rebored block out of the 
car that was never built.

He has 5 weeks to get rid of 12 more cars before the next court 
hearing. Dave would prefer to sell these to someone who can use them, 
either for restoration or parts.
But the reality is that they will have to be crushed if homes are not
found, starting about July 15th. The county has already incarcerated
him briefly for not complying quickly enough with their orders to get
rid of cars.

 

 








He's not looking to sell parts. Dave is retired and his health is not all that
great, so he's not up to parting out cars.
