[Amc-list] paint scheme

Can anyone tell me how I can find out if my car came with original  
stripes and if so what color they were? I have a 68 AMX and the guy I  
got it from had it painted Matador red with dark blue stripes and I  
want to get rid of the blue and go with white or black.
