thinking - nobody mentioned details, but y'all might be interested to
know that the 'senior lincoln' of the '30s was henry leland's
[lincoln's founder] creation, but the junior lincoln, the zephyr
created after ford bought leland out, was essentially a stretched
model a / ford v8. it would be -very-easy- to drop that 12 into a
ford cousin.
the big linc didn't survive the war. the zephyr became the basis of
the immediate post-war lincolns, including the '48 mentioned.
