yeah, it's kind of like a heavy felt paper with a black coating.
I don't care about the road noise, I don;t plan on hearing it anyway.
Two twelve inch subs, 350 watt amp, two eight inch mids with tweeters, and
two six inch mids with tweeters.
I also don't want extreme sound deadening. I would like to find something
closer to original.
A plywood (like luan) wouldn't work because the backer kind of curves a
little and then has partially cuts that turn into
bends on the outsides of it.
It's like 3/16 inch thick very heavy paper board. I'm not sure what the
coating is but Joe is correct it doesn't have an
asphalt smell.
Any body been through this with the Javelins?
