Some pump arms had a "shoe" some didn't. Depended on brand and year, though I can't tell you either. All the pumps interchange, and that's the only thing I know of on a 196 that I'm pretty sure interchanges with the 199/232/258. So there should be no problem running the "barefoot" pump. --------------- Date: Tue, 13 May 2008 17:16:07 -0700 (PDT) From: Joe Smith <know_ware@xxxxxxxxx> I sent Mac McCoy a fuel pump from my parts car (a 62 American Deluxe)?to be rebuilt.? It had a "shoe" on it, on the end of the?arm that goes into the engine. He sent back a fuel pump without a?shoe, after making me wait 2 months. Will this different?fuel pump work in my?63 OHV? -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
