That is a hilarious and totally accurate description!!  I have thought that of the whole genre (chevy, ford, etc) of car trucks (converted station wagons and converted vans), even though I generally like their looks.  
FWIW, the baboon 'gina pink rambler has dried to more of a tollerable orange color, although I will prolly have it repainted about the same shade of tomato soup red that the new beetles are, sooner or later.  Not exactly Rambler Mentality, but after a few more shots of vodka, I won't care.
