" Is the bolt pattern 6.25" between centers, between the top to bolts?
according to advance adapters, 7.92".
" Is the input shaft 7.0" long from the flat of the case?
this i don't know. it's probably close; amc [and pre-'94 ford v8]
t4/t5 are 7 3/16".
" Is the bearing retainer 4.25" diameter?
it is not.
t96 and car t14 are 4.25".
ford v6-v8 t5s and toploaders are 4.85". this includes jeep t170
family.
just about everything else is 4.64", including sr4s, amc t5s, and jeep
t14s.
" (Would be nice if top hole to bottom hole is 5 7/16 same as T-96, but

6.27" according to advance, with 6.32" between bottom holes.
yes it is trapezoidal, not rectangular.

2.73 and '70s 2.53 gears should fit, though for the last you'd have to
ditch the big nut. ;^<
