There biggest down fall is there aren't parts readily available to build them strong enough to last behind a modified engine. I have an adapter set up that converts the rear hub of the trans to a Torque Flight hub so you can put a 727 in your 71 if you or anyone else is looking to do that. It requires machining the back of the crank so that this adapter can be pressed in. No other spacers or mods needed. Just bolt on a Torque Flight flex plate then same as you would a 72 and up.
