What is the big deal about all this fancy new safety equipment? 
Throughout most of my childhood the only vehicle we could afford was mid 60's to mid 70's GM pickups. Anytime the family had to go anywhere we would all (5 kids and 2 parents) pile into the truck. It wasn't too bad when the weather was nice because dad would put a seat in the back of the truck for us kids to sit on but during bad weather all 7 of us would squeeze into the cab. It wasn't so bad, look how I turned out.
