Ya I knew the steering and suspension was different. I must have confused that with the brakes over all these years. I have 82 Concord disks on my gremlin. I have 79 spirit brakes to put on the hornet. Davis Frank Swygert <farna@xxxxxxx> wrote: Davis, the Pacer uses an entirely different suspension and steering, but the brakes are the same. All 75-76 AMCs used the bracket with anchor plates that the Pacer uses. All "Big Bendix" (3.1" piston calipers) use them. Starting in 77 everything but the Matador used smaller 2.6" piston brakes and had a two piece disc brake adapter and anchor plate. In 77 the Pacer switched to the smaller piston brake too, and I'm pretty sure it used the same two piece bracket as the Gremlin/Hornet. Could be wrong on the way the bracket is made, but the entire bracket/spindle/caliper/rotor assembly will definitely fit other AMC cars. 77 and 78 models (all cars) use a big bearing rotor like the 75-76 (and all Big Bendix) which has become harder to find and more costly than 79-83 models. ------------ Date: Sun, 6 Apr 2008 18:55:38 -0700 (PDT) From: Davis Martin Subject: Re: [Amc-list] Disc Brake set-ups for 69 Javelins? The pacer has diferent front suspension and rack n pinion steering and the brake brackets are different and do not interchange. Jim Blair wrote: What's the difference from Pacer to the others?
