Davis, For a lot of people, a flat tappet cam is fine. I think once a person experiences the difference a roller cam can make, that sells the technology more than the durability. That said, even I would run a flat tappet cam on certain engines where cost is a factor. This has prompted me to offer a special on a complete roller cam package. The package will include: 1- Hydraulic roller cam 1- Set of hydraulic roller lifters 1- Anti-walk cam kit which includes mounting template, thrust plate set up, custom double roller timing chain and hardware 1- set of roller cam double valve springs with dampeners 1- set of chrome molly hardened keepers and locks 1- set of 1 piece seamless chrome moly hardened push-rods (must specify length) All for $1299.00. Now consider all what you are getting in addition to just the cam and lifters. This is a considerable savings. Nick, Alfano Performance 4849-76 st. I would say just go with a good hydraulic cam and you will be more then happy. But then it's not my money and not my preference _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
