I dunno, this page

says the T86 ought to have 6 cover bolts. Far as I know, the
T96 is the only one (AMC used) that has 4 bolts. Specifically
uses 4 vs. 6 as an ID...
A close up photo of the right (non-shifter) side should have
trans model there.
