Oh, Uh, well, do you really expect a straight answer??? Anyway, straight question for the question. What kind of gauge did you buy? Is it supposed to be factory and incorrect? is it a round aftermarket gauge? One or two gauges? If it's factory style and does not fit, well then it does not fit. For aftermarket gauges in an early American I would use a two piece mount and place it under the dash to avoid buggering up the top or face. Depending on size you can also mount them in a cup and place them on the column or windshield pillar or even a console if so equipped. Mechanical gauges pose more probelms for the cup mounts then electric. On my 69 I massively reworked the factory cluster to use all Autometer Sport comp gauges. It ended up being like Tom's trans overhaul, snowballed into about $500worth of gauges and mounting plate... Pics can be seen by searching for user Wrambler_242 on photobucket. Pretty sure you don't want to do that to yours! :] -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrc II " Chronic Pain Hurts" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: Joe Smith <know_ware@xxxxxxxxx> > I bought an instrument cluster to put in my 63 American.
