Side trim for the 440 and 440H (440 hardtop) consisted of 1/2" molding along the top and bottom edge of the "spear" on the side. The molding extended across the trunk to joint the spears together. There was the Rambler emblem in the center right over the trunk lock, and the numbers "440" in the lower right corner of the trunk, same place as the 220 or 330 were on the base and mid trim model. Base models had no side trim, mid models had trim only along the bottom of the spear. The 440H also had a rectangular "H" emblem after the 440 on the trunk, and long rectangular "440H" bars on each side near the front lower edge of the sail panel. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
