I'm in agreement with Tom John. I've run radials on original and aftermarket wheels -- makes no difference. Your wheels are probably misshapen from years of service. If you ever thought about upgrading to 15" wheels (they were optional) now would be a good time! Tom means the small "dog dish" hubcaps won't fit. Full size wheel covers will, as long as they are the correct size (14" or 15"), of course. Most people use the term "hubcap" for either the small or large ones, but technically a "hubcap" is the small one, "wheelcover" the large one. But who's always technically correct? Common usage prevails in most cases, right or wrong! -------------------- Date: Sun, 23 Mar 2008 14:26:50 -0700 (PDT) From: Tom Jennings <tomj@xxxxxxx> Likely your stock rims are bent -- 40 years of curb-banging... I had a set trued and powder coated, but I could have bought new ones for less. If you care about originality that's the best route. Else get new ones from Wheel Vintiques, $50 each new steel in widths you want. AMC hubcaps WILL NOT fit them. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
