Re: [Amc-list] (no subject)

Don't laugh at me -- anyone know if these rods would these work
in a 199 six?

It's the one major item missing from my Navarro Indy 500 motor
-- .44" thick cylinder walls (182ci), double-O-ringed head and
block, with AMC R&D cylinder head and well over 2" valves.

I have True Forged pistons, ... I don't know pin height, I
believe but have not verified stock stroke. I'm a ways from
specing up that motor but good rods would be nice.

These pistons are dished for a turbo or supercharger application and yield around 8:1 with stock 304 59-cc heads. Pistons are weight-matched/balanced and come with full floating pins and locks ? SET UP FOR THE ABOVE 390 RODS with ~1? wrist pin (stock 304 pin is 0.93?). Pistons also have valve reliefs for 1.94? intake and 1.50? exhaust valves (Small Block Chevy valve conversion on 304 heads). These were the pistons I was going to run in the twin turbo engine, which is now being built for naturally aspirated use in my Grand Wagoneer.

IF your block needs to be milled, you could have the piston tops machined down accordingly, by a machine shop, to regain the Zero-deck.
