It wouldn't be too hard to do. I would be inclined to mod the flat plate to take injectors and use the Renix system. We were thinking about building a manifold for my buddy's IH 241 (which currently flows about as well as an old Chev stovebolt engine) but the 327 seems like a better idea (especially since I found an LPG fuel system for $200 for a Ford 2 bbl) Jim Blair, Lynnwood, WA '87 Comanche, '83 Jeep J10, '84 Jeep J10 From: JOE FULTON <piper_pa20@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: [Amc-list] fuel injection on 196's To: "AMC/Rambler owners, drivers and fans." <amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Message-ID: <446.82645.qm@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 I think it would be "fairly" easy to put a throttle body fuel injection on an old Rambler. You would need the TBI of course and an adapter for the TB to the intake manifold, an electric fuel pump and return line into the fuel tank (or fuel filler neck which might be easier). If you wanted a closed loop system, you would need to mount an oxygen sensor and the brain box compatible with your TBI system. I think one of the TBI systems on a GM Iron Duke or similar sized system might make a fairly easy swap.
