Me too.

We've got four cars; two 258's, one 232, one 195.6OHV. All
but the 195.6OHV were rebuilt by me or for me (232 needs it
again). Those all get Mobil1 since new.

But the 195.6 has a couple of special properties; one, partial
filtering, and mine (and yours?) last build was a looong
time ago.

I don't know how scientifical it is, but I hear "synth detergents
loosen/stir up old settled gunk in old motors". Also, I've been
told detergent oils keep crud in suspension so that filters
can pick it up.

So our 195.6's have poor filtration, and decades of accumulated
crud in the pan. I'd rather it stay there for now!

I've been running ... Mobil? "high mileage" oil in mine, 10w-30.
Allegedly has seal softeners (stool softeners for old motors :-)
and more zinc?

Anyways it ain't blowed up yet.

If someone has a better idea I'd love to hear it.

When I rebuild this motor, or build another one, I plan on
working a full-flow pump into it, and running full synthetic.
