Keith, I publish a quarterly magazine called "American Motors Cars". It was originally published (for nine years!) as "American Independent Magazine". I've sent you a sample copy via e-mail. You can get it as a PDF file for $16 a year (in color) or a printed copy for $22 a year (black and white). The printed issue price is for the US, by the way, the PDF file price is the same no matter where you are. I accept PayPal to my e-mail address, personal check, money order, or even a credit card (CC only from my website, which is in my signature). Do note that all the clubs also print a newsletter/magazine. AMC is intended as a supplement to the clubs, not a substitute for them. I don't have club news or business in mine so I have a few more pages for articles. I cover everything from 50s to 80s AMCs, and occasionally something on an older AMC related make or Jeep. The next issue has a Rebel Machine and a 74 Javelin featured, the one after that will focus on older cars. Tech articles run from restoration to modification -- even making something other than stock fit to keep the car running safely and economically. Occasionally there is even a performance oriented article (such as the series on the 258 I'm hopping up a bit now). I also don't put on events or provide any of the services clubs do, all I do is print a magazine, and support the clubs by listing contact information for them at least once a year. P.S. -- The current "AMC Magazine" is in no way related to "American Motor Cars" which came out briefly in 2002 at the big Kenosha meet (I think it was the 02 meet). Only three issues of that ever went out. I changed the name of my mag only a year ago. I had originally thought to expand to cover other orphaned independent makes, hence the original name. That obviously never happened, so I changed the name. Once that other magazine attempt was made I had to wait a bit longer to change to prevent confusing the two. -------------- Date: Thu, 13 Mar 2008 09:16:28 -0500 From: Keith Evenson <epd@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Is there an AMC magazine that I am not getting? I have heard mention about it on here before and so I was wondering how I go about getting it?
