Part number consolidation is a hassle all over the place! I have been trying to order 11 X 2 rear drums for Mopars (actually for a '74 Bricklin) with no luck. The replacements ALL show up as 10" even though the catalog says 11". They do not like to pull the listings till they are sure they will not be able to get a restock. The man hours are too high to keep everything in check. He apologized and they usualy state the item will take a while to ship as they do try to get items when they are ordered. A lot of stuff is Chinese and overseas made which means shipments of certain castings/ items may only come in once every six months. If they pull the listing when they run out of stock, then in 3 months get more they have to reenter the info. He seemed to honestly not like it any more then we do, but the alternative is to not even try to stock the older stuff. Then they'd probably stop casting it. Parts are drying up as the years go by. let not hasten the process. -- Mark Price _________________________________________________________________ Helping your favorite cause is as easy as instant messaging.
