I've always wanted to get my hands on a R Torino dash and console, very cool and retro. Don't shoot me for saying this, but if the builder would have put a Brand C [yuck, I know] it would be much more sellable to non AMCers and such. A "C" guy thinks hotrod when he sees one of those things under the hood of anything. :[ If the original was dead and un repairable, I'd build a multi carbed stroker six or perhaps set up a fake multi carb with multiport hidden setup. You could fake the Torino motor with a jeep replacement, but you wouldn't get the added mains and other improvements they did thru the 70's. -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrc II " Chronic Pain Hurts" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: russ hathaway <russh97309@xxxxxxxxx> > Joe; the Jeep motor in itself was not special, but all > the tweeking that the Argentines did to make it fit is > special. > Does he still have the 3x2 carb set up? > He doesn't realize that Rambler guys won't give him > what he wants as it has a Ford in it.
