Man this has been a bed week and it's not even Wed. yet. First I hear that Boyd died, then Jeff Healey died, and now Brett Favre retires, this sucks. It's not even suppose to warm up yet to get out to the garage either. I sure hope the weather changes soon I'm ready to work on the car.

Jeff's a great, didn't know he was fighting Cancer, the guy never let on.
His Strat Guitar ran Evans 'Eliminator' pick ups - have Red covers, they
were made in Canada - been out of production for 5 years I know of.
These were basically a 'stacked Humbucker' to fit a single coil space -
single coil on top of single coil.
Les Paul Guitars, by Gibson are Humbucker pick ups - two single coils next
to each other - polarities are opposite so there is no signal 'Hum' - hence
'Humbuckers'. Any Allman Brothers or most of Led Zeppelin are Les Paul sounds.
Most Strats come thru with three single coils - Stevie Ray Vaughn, Clapton,
Beck, Hendrix - all single coil sounds.
My 7 string Strats have one Humbucker in bridge position with two single coils -
only made from 1999-2001.
Jeff's' sound is Unique - as Jeff.
damn.
