Shalom, At the moment, it is now 'free' of encumbrance...she's out of her barn and awaiting collection. My truck, on the other hand, is still popping and drooping and running like, ummm, well, not well. Gonna check for a clogged cat today (I suspect now it IS a clogged cat along with some failed sensor...like one of the O2's--or both)... If I could get the truck to perk, I could do this (I spoke with my 'owner' and she's ameinable to making a fun trip out of this...if that's possible)...but the itinerary is Palmyra, VA (southeast of Charlottesville, VA by 18 miles) to Lottsburg (about 60 miles northeast of Richmond, Va) to Morgantown (or 'destination'). Now if someone will do a 'trip' outline and tell me how far all that is... To Lottsburg and back (which was something over 265 or miles) took dammed near all day (yeah, ok, so when I 'looked' at PlainJaneVanilla I talked a lot...which I do wherever I go, so RagChewin time might become an issue. This trip would have to commence early on (VERY early on).. "Maybe he could meet you part of the way" Hmmmmmm. Considered that?? What can you tow with?? (Gosh, I sure wish there were a way to have my cake AND eat it too!) Jj By the way, glad you are 'functioning'. Can't say the same...working on that dammed DodgeMonster, it's sheer size makes me have to go 'right into the mouth of the beast!' which means climbing up o'er the bumper and scrunching my butt bent o'er on the inner fender being careful not to crush something which ought not be crunched and bending o'er to do the 'futzin'...UGH! Dammed Lots of NOTFun... and Ouchie. Of course, you have to unscrew yourself from that position and then slip said butt under the beast's belly (which is kind of a trick all by itself). So it requires a fistful of meds prior to starting and a 'booster' as it goes on. Of course, it's powerful stuff and, candidly, judgement becomes an issue (because it SEEMS to, whether or not it really does does not matter)...fact is, had I not been on my Meds I may not have bought the wagon which is causing this need (that may or may NOT be true, but because of the balanceing act and time juggling and other tricks I need to perform right now, I think I might have chosen a different tack...but I DO like the Wagon, and I DO like PlainJaneVanilla.) So...What are your insights into this?? Subject: [Amc-list] sorry/ Re: Ooooops, and Awwwwww. Ummmmm, anyone interested in...plus even more rambling. Sorry about the double, now triple post! I never for a million years thought I'd beinterestedin anything pre 64 till I saw the 62 Classis 2dr sedan Jerry posted for sale last year. That one sparked an interest, A base Classic 2dr sedan realy is me. For some twisted reason those are the cars I gravitate towards. If I can work out plan to get it here. I'll be joining the growing group of people trying to run the old 196's. [for a while anyway]. Way back in my mind I see a duplicatish version of ole Casper out in the midwest, Bullet wheels, AMC20 or suitable rear, Turbo 400, 327 4bbl and everything else bone stock, plain jane. Now with the list of things I have on my plate, I'l just be very happy to get it running and safe quickly. I would love to see my oldest drive it to his prom or graduation...not likely. Maybe his little brother, That gives me 3 more years! While I'm rambling I am now four days off Lortab!!! I've had very little problems today almost non existant! I did my third session of PT and can now get me right arm to extend horizontal out from my side! That is twice as far as I could get it before PT! Pain? Oh, man this like doing drugs. I got to be careful or I'l screw up and hurt myself. It's still not ready for any serious work. If Jerijan can't get that car to me can anyone else save it for me? At $699 I can swing a reasonable transport, but I gather it needs pulle dout of the barn etc;... lastly, yeah, if I do this i'm going to be in trouble, anyone got a flack jacket I can wear till my wife calms down? -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7L, Quadratrc II " Chronic Pain Hurts" -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: Wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx > Yeah, I know your probably not in shape to do it either. > What would you consider for trade off? > I got piles of "stuff. _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list -- No virus found in this incoming message.
