Tom,
I had someone contact me a long time ago looking for T-96 cores. It
seems there is some sort of industrial application for them so maybe
there's a gear hoarder out there.
I guess I'm glad I didn't pursue a rebuild of the T-96 that was in my 68
American. I did have it checked out and I was told the only things that
were in usable shape were the 2-3 shift fork and the stuff that makes up
the shift detents in the case. They get a lot more wear behind a 232.
