If you want to use that particular starter on your 390, you have to get the flexplate for that same vehicle with a 360 and have it balanced to your 390. Probably easier and cheaper to buy the right mini starter for your 390. Not that I am trying to make a sale here, but if you don't have the correct flex plate already, the price you will pay for a new one, then the cost of getting it matched balanced to your engine as well as pulling the trans to install it. Lets just say, you will not be saving any money that way no matter how cheap you got it for. Just trying to say you time and money. Nick, Alfano Performance 4849-76 st. I want to use it on a 390 4sp car but the nose holds it too far away to engage, any ideas anyone?
