It really is a surprise -- it's the same as early Falcon/Mustang six clutches! They use the T-96 behind the 144/170, and I think the 200 as well. Yep, 6 cylinder, 8.5" clutch disc, 10 spline, 60-65 144/170/200, $40 (http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb.dll?parta~partsort). Go to the next page and there are some 9" clutches, 66-70, 10 spline ($30-63 -- some design differences noted, but I have no idea what the differences might be). Not sure about the input shaft diameter on the 66-70, but the 60-65 should be T-96 trannys. ------------ Date: Tue, 26 Feb 2008 23:51:06 -0800 (PST) From: Tom Jennings <tomj@xxxxxxx> Yeah, site is up tonight. But no online site even lists the clutch for any AMC six (9" or less). I didn't call Performance today, I will try to tomorrow. It surprises me that such a common part is so hard to find. It covers nearly all AMC/Rambler cars made through early 70's. I'll call Kanters, Galvin's, Kennedy, etc but I really thought this would be a findable mainstream part. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
