This appears to be the factory 1955 "LeMans" head from a Statesman. Fenton, Offy, and Edmunds all had their name cast into their heads. I've only seen an Edmunds for a 196 before, not sure if Fenton and Offy made one, but all their other make heads have their name cast into them.
Assuming it's the factory head, compression is 8.0:1 and the original carbs were Carter YH. The ones shown with the head appear to be newer Carter RGS models, as found on late 60s L-heads. The linkage on the cleaned up one is definitely AMC, the other one has a different linkage setup. If anyone buys this thing note that you'll have to check the carbs well -- the jets MUST be the same in both or one end of the engine will run lean and eventually burn a hole in a piston. I found out the hard way, no point in any of you doing it too!! Of course you'll have to make a linkage system, but that's not as difficult as it sounds.

Thought this was really cool to have if you have the 196 flat head.
Since I've had bad luck sending URL's, I'm just emailing the ebay ID.
