What I did when people looked down at my American was walk away.
I built it for me, only me. I ignored the looks and grumbles of my wife.
My kids wanted soem fwd tuner creation. By ignoring the masses I think I've taught my kids in my own way to do what they want and not whan society demands of them!
   Look at my signature, you can see what my American runs. look over on Photobucket under Wrambler_242 for a very small nuber of pics.
   The 4.0L gets nothing but positive comments and even with my heavy foot and big runner on the car gets 21mpg.
Your 232 is an almost exact early version of the 232. Going to the EFI would allow you to do a very close copy of the underhood of my car or somethind different of YOUR choice...
   Unless it was always your intention to have a V8 Gremlin and that urge won't die, then I would not go there...
Tell'm, " Do the letters F.O. mean anything to you" when they scoff...
   As for postives, I once had a city cop folow me for two miles, pull in behind me in the parking lot and ask me where I got mine and if I knew where he could find one!!!  How often does that happen with a bellybutton car?
