[Amc-list] OT: threaded

I started to put down S c r e w e d for a topic, but figured yahoo would filter it out!
Just came back from the doc.
Looks good!
I'm getting my range of motion back, in fact the doc and Phys Assist. were amazed at how far I can move it.
The pain is finaly starting to let up.
I'm not 100% sure but I think it is different from the presurgery pain so I'm hoping for a complete recovery!
I got to see the Xrays and MRI of before and after this time.
I have what appears to be a large screw driven directly down into the top of the humerous [reason for the subject line]. It looks like a round headed screw, doc said it has a deliberate rough surface for the bone to grow into on the threads. The head is smooth and flush with the surrounding cartlidge. It is also not in the normal swing of things as far as arm movement goes. So, with any luck I will have a normal life span for the joint! I sure don't want to have to have it replaced again!
I'm beat, in P!$$ POOR shape from 18-19 months of pain and inactivity, but so blody happy that this may be nearing an end!!!
Oh, yeah, call me Phil cause I get six more weeks of Medical!!!
Doc wants me to start PT after next Wednesday. I can drive! I realy want to get some light duty stuff done here at home while I recover, then the week before my follow up to be released to work we are going to take a vacation, my wife is realy burnt out!
Keep your fingers crossed, it's not over yet, but just maybe...
