[Amc-list] Stroker pistons

Guys, my new contract for forged pistons will get me even custom orders completed 10-14 days. I believe with the KB pistons, there is some altering you have to do to use them. Like with the 401s, you have to bush your rods down to a Chevy 927 pin. Mine are set up to use with a stock rod or run our forged rods bushed to a 1" pin. In addition, they are hypereutectic and not forged. I would start stocking forged 6cyl pistons if there is a demand to do so. I rarely get anyone looking for them though. With such a short turn around time, there doesn't seem to be a need to make up a bunch and put them on the shelf, but, If I get enough orders, I will.

I am also working on new forged cranks this year. Will start with a V8 crank in somewhere around a 3.850-3.900 stroke. Would consider a 6cyl after this one if the market is there as I have to buy a few hundred cores to start (not cheap). There are options.

Going back to that, bigger is better thing.
Rumour has it that KB is going to be putting forged pistons on the shelves for 4.0L's!
Some of the guys over on the stroker list have gotten emails from KB's tech stating that they are about 2 months away! That prolly means 6-10 months, but better late then never!
The request was for stroker pistons that gave 9:1-1 Compression with proper quench using a 258 crank with 4.0L rods. We have not gotten comfirmation on the exact specs of the pistons, but we have our fingers crossed.
Many of us asked for Hyper pistons, but casting costs seem to have led KB to go with forgings. This makes some of us happy and some of us sad. I am sad if I decide to build a Jeep stroker for use in a DD, but, I'm happy if I decide the American needs a stroker as it will not be needed in the cold-cold of winter.
If KB gets the pricing right on these pistons I plan on assembling a shortblock for use in something.
