Hey Joe

The car is standard, but Right hand drive (AMC sold them here) - hence the
steering box is in the way - AMC fitted a remote filter from new, there's a
bracket bult into the alternator top mount - it's quite well doe really.

BTW - thanks once again to Frank S for more good info.  much appreciated.
