The link doesn't work, but I looked up the part with the model/year info. That's the right booster, but you will need the stand-off brackets and pushrod to the pedal. The manual brake pedal will go all the way to the floor with the power setup. You either need the pedal or modify the manual pedal. It's easy if you have a welder or can get it welded. You make a cut with a hacksaw about 3/4 of the way through the pedal about 1" below where the rod to the MC bolts on, cut from front to back. Bend the pedal to close the 1/16" wide saw kerf (slot) then weld it back together. That moves the pedal about 3/4" forward at the bottom. If you don't like the slight angle the pedal is at cut and weld again as close to the pedal as you can, but this time cut from the back to front. That will put the angle back to normal, and you'll only lose about 1/8" of travel. I cut and welded mine, but left the bottom alone (just one cut/weld). ------------ Date: Thu, 10 Jan 2008 06:23:47 -0800 From: "Thomas Garner" <Tgarner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> http://www.autozone.com/R,APP271314/vehicleId,1780201/initialAction,partProductDetail/store,/partType,00143/shopping/partProductDetail.htm Would this brake booster (for 1965 Classic), fit my 64 Classic? I would think so, but I'm not sure. If I search for the booster for the 64 Classic, it doesn't show anything, but the 65 shows this. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
